March 22-24, The New Village Brewery & Taproom will host a tap takeover by 217 Brew Works (Wilson, NC), named so for its address at 217 South Street. This is a brewery committed to its community and dedicated to the growth and potential of the downtown and historic district of Wilson. The brewery is located directly across from the site of local artist Vollis Simpson’s Whirligig Park and serves as a means to support the success of the park and the surrounding neighborhood. Some of their flagship brews include a red ale dubbed Meaning of Life, a honey ale known as Queen’s Parlour, a celebration ale called Ides of March, an oatmeal stout called Ship in a Bottle, and Goats & Compass- an English pale ale. Come out and try about a dozen of their beers in our Taproom next weekend!
The New Village Brewery & Taproom will open at noon (Thu-Sat) and will remain open until around 10pm, or while supplies last. Please RSVP for this event to receive updates about which brews we’ll have on tap and more.
