Thanksgiving weekend, The New Village Brewery & Taproom will host a tap “Thanks-Over” by Dogfish Head Brewery (Milton, DE).
Why a Delaware brewery instead of NC on Thanksgiving weekend? Because we are giving thanks. After all, it was Dogfish Head founder Sam Calagione’s 90-Minute IPA that inspired The New Village’s brewer, Frank Bacon, to first try his hand at home brewing in 2001.
What’s so special about the 90-Minute IPA, you may wonder. The innovation of “continual hopping”, which enabled adding an abundance of hops throughout the boil without making the beer crushingly bitter. With rich pine and fruity citrus hop aromas and a strong malt backbone, 90-Minute IPA created pungent, unapologetic flavor that led Esquire to call it “perhaps the best IPA in America.” Come taste for yourselves!
The New Village Brewery will be closed on Thanksgiving Day; but opens at noon on Fri & Sat and will remain open until around 10pm, or while supplies last. Please RSVP for this event to receive updates about which brews we’ll have on tap and more. ~ Cheers
