Do you enjoy meeting new people, playing interactive games of strategy, and NC craft beer? Come on down to The New Village Taproom for EuroGame Night!
What is a EuroGame? A Eurogame, also called a German-style board game, is a class of tabletop games that generally have indirect player interaction, abstract physical components and emphasize strategy while downplaying luck and conflict.
Popular EuroGames include: Settlers of Catan (or Catan), recently dubbed “The Board Game of our time” by The Washington Post; Carcasonne; Puerto Rico; Hansa Teutonica; and Tigris and Euphrates, among others.
Who can play? All ages and abilities are welcome and you need not drink beer to play. Generally, Eurogames do not have a fixed number of players, but between 2-10 players is most common.
Our local Game Guru John Coombs will facilitate. We will probably kick it off with Settlers of Catan, but we will poll folks to see which games have the most interest.
There is no cost to participate, but donations of games or funds to expand our Taproom game collection will be greatly appreciated!
