L.F. McCabe and Louis Midyette gave this river side site to the town, which named it in their honor. Mrs. Moore led a civic enterprise and raised $27.99 to plant oak trees, China umbrella trees and canna lilies. The park also had a pavilion and pier. It remains a focal point for town activities, parades, festivals, and church services.
